We know the power of working together in our families, at work, and in society, but yoga is typically practiced in the confines of our own mats. What happens when we come together and work cooperatively in yoga? Cooperative Yoga is an exploration into sharing our yoga practice. Cooperative yoga, including forms of partner, group, and acroyoga, provides a new vantage point to understand your own body, using gravity and balance points in new ways. You will learn the basics of partner and acro yoga, creating the first building blocks to a safe and fun group yoga practice. You will also learn new skills to take into your solo yoga practice.
Cooperative Yoga brings components of partner, group, acro, and traditional yoga together to help you learn more about your own body and practice. Working with experienced teachers in a safe environment, Cooperative Yoga will teach you how to practice yoga postures with other community members in light-hearted and creative ways.
This workshop includes learning, practice, questions, and constructive rest.
$40 after July 15 — Use the code “ACRO” for 25% off when you sign up before Sunday, July 15.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:
Daniel Snider and Corinne Rezcek are practitioners of partner yoga styles, including acro yoga. As yoga teachers, they believe in the importance of safely teaching acro postures within the tradition of yoga. We both love exploring the nature of asana shapes from different vantage points – even off the floor and floating on one another’s feet!
