This isn’t your typical “About Us” section. Sure, we could tell you about Balanced Yoga's history in Columbus and how we're known for being a welcoming studio with a broad yoga offering. We could also list why yoga is essential… but, really, the most important piece of the Balanced Yoga story is you. Our community.
Our community is made up of so many individuals—our practitioners, instructors, staff, volunteers, teacher trainees and folks just passing through Columbus, looking for a space to breathe and stretch their legs. We’re all on this crazy ride called life, but somehow, we ended up on our mats—together. No matter where we come from and no matter our pasts, we are here now with the opportunity to share experiences and interact in this community we call home. No need to leave your sh*t at the door; bring it on in. We like to keep things real.
A cultivated collaboration of power and restoration, Sthira and Sukha, steadiness and ease.
Our vibrant yoga schedule offers class opportunities from Power Vinyasa, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Gentle Yin. With more than 70 classes per week and a community of experienced instructors, Balanced Yoga is for students of all levels.
Leah + Nicole
We take the quote “Everything Happens For A Reason” very seriously around here. You never know what can happen when you put yourself out there.
For Leah and Nicole—it was a business venture stemming from a yoga class. And it isn’t only yoga that they have in common. They’re lovers of all things Columbus. From Rockmill brews, Crew games and Northstar salads to nature walks and deep belly laughs on Leah’s Clintonville back porch. Leah and Nicole are honored to experience life alongside a truthful, weird, hilarious and authentic crew. It’s inspiration nation in Balanced Yoga and there’s never a dull moment. Oh yeah, and they’re really passionate about yoga—both on and off the mat.
